About

This online learning platform was initially developed in France as part of the Landscape project, with the aim of providing accessible resources on sustainability in the music sector. It is now expanding at the European level through the Better Live project, broadening its scope and offering content in four languages.

Led by a consortium of eleven partners from the jazz and improvised music scenes across Europe, Better Live supports the ecological transition of live music at the European level.

Until 2026, Better Live will develop data analysis tools, provide training for live music professionals, and experiment with sustainable concerts and low-carbon touring models.

Its goal: to support the ecological transformation of the live music sector and make existing tools and resources accessible to as many people as possible.

The Landscape project, which laid the foundation for the first version of this MOOC, was supported by the French government as part of the “Supporting Green Alternatives in Culture” initiative, under the France 2030 strategy for cultural and creative industries. This support was managed by the Caisse des Dépôts and the Centre National de la Musique.
