Martyna Van Nieuwland

Curator, consultant and researcher. From 2013 to 2022 she was head of programming at the Katowice City of Gardens Cultural Institution, where she programmed the Katowice JazzArt Festival and the world music festival Gardens of Sounds. Member of the organizing team of WOMEX Worldwide Music Expo 2017 in Katowice, Poland. For two years (2022-2024) she served as artistic director of the Music Meeting Festival in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. From 2014-2024, she served as a juror for numerous music competitions and showcase festivals around the world. She is the winner of the Music and Community 2022 award for the Katowice JazzArt Festival broadcast by the Europe Jazz Network and received Budapest RITMO Award in 2025.
